Iomega also produces a PCMCIA Zip drive, made by Microtech International. I took delivery on one last week and it works
great. The drive is just a little over 1/2 inch thick and
draws all its power from the PCMCIA port. It is also completely
hot swappable. It appears to be much faster than a parallel port
drive, although I haven't done any detailed benchmark testing.

This is the drive for laptops which don't have a custom made
internal Zip.
