I'm a firm believer that things are not usually what they appear to be, and it occured to me that maybe there is more to the circumstances of this "scam" than we are being led to believe. For one thing, the SEC is generally thought to be understaffed and under-manned (or woman-ed) to do it's job effectively. Nasdaq seems to have similar problems. What if this whole thing is a "sting" operation, and Huttoe got snared? Is that possible? Probable? It sure would be a reassuring thought if the govt. knew what was going on the whole time and has Huttoe under it's thumb....sure would be a big old feather in their enforcement cap to deliver the big fish to the national press. Everybody here pretty much knows there are tons of "less than reputable" penny stocks out there, everybody knows the SEC and NASD can't/won't try to catch them all. What if there was a plant in the SEXI organization that led Huttoe down the path of temptation? Some of the mistakes made were so stupid, you got to believe the perpetrator had no experience in setting up an effective scam....I dunno where I am going with this exactly, but just saying that we assume certain things about the circumstances, when in fact we really don't know much at all, do we? I am still formulating the possible scenarios...just trying hard not to assume anything, ya know?
