$10 Trades! Try a new online brokerage that is also offering banking, bill paying,etc. in addition to trades @ $10 flat fee. The company, www.farsight.com, is wholly owned by D. E. Shaw & Company, a little known but quite closed-mouth Wall Street firm that is highly successful investment banking firm that utilizes huge computer systems to carefully analyze trends so as to anticipate where the market is going on various issues that the computers spot. Check out their employment ad in the New york Times (Sunday) paper for the best and brightest in computer science graduates, etc. Anyway, FarSight is terrific. Still in beta but finishing the 2nd stage (Pilot 2) they're now open to public membership whereas before only a limited number of accounts were offered during the beta testing. disclaimer: a family member is employed by FarSight (no, he does not get a commission on new business!).
