This was one response on the effect of PKN on MLNM biz.yahoo.com -- [PKN] Collaboration will likely have only a minimal impact on product focused genome companies like Human Genome Sciences Inc. (HGSI - news) and Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc. (MLNM - news) because their gene discoveries have already largely been patented or companies have filed for patents. I really don't know how Applied Biosciences (part of PKN) is doing the sequencing so much faster with their new instrument but will try to find out. biz.yahoo.com
