I don't know. I do know that those of us in the higher
edu/science/tech area are not happy with what we heard. We
were promised that Rhapsody would run on all machines post
7200. We have even spent money dumping 7200's and upgrading
to other machines, pre-G3, to insure transition to Rhapsody.
Now we are told Rhapsody will be MacOS X and that it will
run only G3. Furthermore, we have been looking forward to
multiprocessor support. Previous 604e machines have multi-
processor capabilities, and we expected to be able to use
that in Rhapsody. Now MacOS X will supplant, but being written
for G3 kills multiprocessor capabilities, since G3 is not
suitable for multiprocessor use. No mention of G4. Not a
very pretty picture for the high-end, read high-margin, user.
