James, I think that there are many reasons to be cautious as far as PLFM is concerned, however, I do not think the technology is one of these reasons. From my reading, I think the technology is first class. My problem is that PLFM lacks the financial and management resources to build a telecom empire, and there is a strong possibility that others will end up with the lion share of the profits the technology could generate. For one, a license is required to operate in a given band width, I have seen no mention that such a license has been issued to PLFM. Such a license could cost a pretty penny (one of our telecoms, according to an earlier post on this thread, laid down $2 Billion for a license to the San Paulo area, I am not sure if these are the kind of sums that will be required by PLFM, but these are going to be substantial nevertheless).
