Greg, I don't know if this is a self-imposed restriction to use only NYSE companies. I can't ever reading that there is such a restriction. I also checked the DJTA and the DJUA and all of those seem to be listed on the NYSE. Perhaps the time has come for companies like MSFT and INTC are considered for inclusion into this average. Their influence represents a large part of our economy these days and appears to be for quite sometime. If anyone knows what the criteria for inclusion to the DJIA is I would like to be educated.
