Jim, I have to disagree. Notice that most of the "Rhapsody" sessions have YB, not Rhapsody, in the title. The only one that mentions Rhapsody as such also specifically dates it -- 1998.

If MacOS X has the Yellow Box APIs and Mach underneath, what's left of Rhapsody itself? Answer:

1. A Unix command line, which may very well be available in Mac OS X.

2. An unfinished GUI which was going to be morphed into something more Mac-like anyway.

3. A functional separation between Mac APIs (Blue Box) and OpenStep APIs which was actually a liability.

4. Nothing else. I repeat: Nothing else.

I defy you to mention one worthwhile thing in Rhapsody that will clearly not be in Mac OS X, other than the name. If you can name one thing, then I will consider the possibility that Apple is doing the old OpenDoc shuffle. Until then, though, I see no reason to entertain the thought that the $400 million investment in NeXT is going to be entirely encorporated--and I do mean ENCORPORATED--into MacOS X.
