Dave-thanks for the feedback. :)

Also remember that OS 10 (announced today) will require a G3 to run.

I don't think this is true. It's simply targeted at the G3.

PLEASE DON'T get confused with what Amelio and other CEO's of the past did to screw thing up.....

Hmmm....I find it odd that Steve would sell Apple on Next and WebObjects for $400 million and then put WebObjects on the back burner and fold Rhapsody's key technologies into the Mac OS. A deal like that seems like it would be worth 1/3 of the cost, if that. Seems odd that all this was Steve's creation, and now it's not really going anywhere except Mac OS 10. From a technical standpoint, I could care less if it's a one or two OS approach. As a user, I am just confused. As an investor, I'm worried that Apple paid SO MUCH MONEY for all this, when one of the huge selling points was that Rhapsody would run on all kinds of hardware. The investor in me wants all those revenues that had the potential to create, in addition to the opportunity for increased market share. I am very concerned that this major advantage of opening up to intel hardware has been closed. All the other stuff is just an aside, for me. From what I gather there will be no more opportunity for apple to develop an OS for other hardware. Maybe I am missing something and maybe Mac OS 10 will be able to run on intel, in which case please correct me.

Thanks

travis
