Microsoft software chief Ben Waldman, the head of the Redmond-based company's Macintosh software division, came on stage to show support for Apple's new plans, saying the company was very excited.

Dave,

I'm praticing 'thinking differently'. You know, Microsoft is potentially in trouble with Win98. In addition, its mainstay OS represents only about a 20th of its revenue stream.

Wouldn't it be 'different' if Microsoft bailed from Win98 in favor of Mac/Rhapsody. The applications provider would then safely become entrenched in the best OS/best CPU combination available, and no DOJ to care about!

Is this thought 'too different'.

Sam
