Do I understand your last post correctly that you think the DOJ isn't going to touch MS. If the DOJ happens to break away MS OS from its other software products which I think is highly unlikely but possible. I think they will be in a bit of a bind. As it presently stands now their software isn't that great but its monopoly gets the product out the door. Here is a typical MS tactics they can pull off with its present monopoly.

I know Java would stand a better chance to be open if the DOJ broke out the OS from MS.
