With all due respect, I dont see how that equates to fear? the problem probaably lies in my lack of understanding, but i dont see hw respect equates to fear. respect could easily come from love also, in fact I would think that would be preferable.
the rest of the post, says that god wants us tonot fear him, but also says tht he wishes we would fear him and follow his laws. that is conflicting to me, but again, the problem probably lies with my lack of understanding.
I still get hung up with god wanting us to fear him in order to gain wisdom or grow spiritually. I think that we would grow and learn more more with a healthy respect born of love.
