Today, just a little while ago, DELL reported incredible earnings of 1.56 a share before a one time charge of .04. This was against expectations of only 1.17. Income rose something like 108% from the year ago period. Apprently, dell is up over 2 in after hours trading. Gateway will be up tomorrow!!!! The whole sector will be up.
Here is some further news I became aware of. Today, Some brokerage whose name I can't remember initiated coverage on GATE with an accumulate rating. Also, on Friday, Prudential reitterated a buy rating on the stock.
Personally, with this news, I feel that we will see 60 in no time. If it does not come tomorrow, it will come soon. There is no major news coming out until earnings warnings and then earnings. Gateway will be in the mid 60's by that time, if nothing much happens. I think that the only think that will slow Gateway's ascent would be bad holiday buying expctations. DELL is shielded from this, but Gateway has more to gain if the season is good.
Also for tomorrow, I would look for upgrades on DELL and other computer firms. Even more predominant than that, I would look for earnings outlook adjustments, reflecting this.
