I would suspect LU would want ASND for the large base of Telco and Carrier type customers and the products that ASND supplies to those customers would be one good reason.

Last time I checked, Bay did not provide carrier class products. But the RBOCS do use Bay internally in their own private corporate networks. They do not generally resale services based on Bay products.
