Actually several of the companies I have invested with in the past did have auditors on their quarterlies. I have not seen an annual audit....it was not in the investor's packet I received, and it was printed Feb 20....easily in time since I understand the FY ended June or July 30/31. (Actually have looked for, but haven't found, even that simple little bit.) I have been told, here on the thread, there is an unaudited annual report, also not seen.

But basically, you're correct, most quarterlys aren't audited. But if they are filed with the SEC, as I think all companies whose shares can be purchased by the general public should be required to do, then the format is like the AR, easily legible to those who take the time.

The "Great Asian...." is tongue in cheek....current events parody if you will....Malaysian government has blamed "foreign meddling" (meaning us) for their currency problems. I'm sure Breeze1 has seen as much in his local press.

The response that was really out of line was the first one Breeze 1 received. I think it was the one that immediately preceeded your first question about the "release."

And while on that subject, the AT&T "we saved their butt and they love us for it" release was so transparently self-serving I can't actually believe a thoughtful PR person would release it, or even write it.

As to the html idea...not a bad one. Why not start a thread dedicated to the importance and performance of due diligence? There are many people using SI who would probably help, and many times that number who need and would appreciate it.
