No, they can be analyzed, but you cannot infer causation. In other words, you can observe that MEO moves in tandem with ACA (which it doesn't according to measures of variance and standard deviation), but you cannot say MEO moves up because, say, ACA does. By this measure, you could say that MEO causes ACA to go up, which seems unlikely.
