Although this comes as a response to your post, these questions and observations are really addressed to the thread at large. - JimA

If "we are very serious", then what do "we" anticipate will happen with that third item about voting Jack out? Will the Ghosts of CVIA Directors past then become our advocates?

Do "we" think the remaining entity will somehow be more attractive to potential investor/sellers than it is now, given all the expressed stockholder hostility?

If we were part of WOTD under these circumstances, would we just walk right up and invite all the additional distraction that Jack has had to deal with.

It's may be to his credit that he keeps responding to the extent he can. It's not job one right now.

Those communications may not be all-revealing, but it's unreasonable to expect them to be. Usually stockholders are not privy to nearly as much information as we have received when mergers and such are afoot. And we sure rewarded Jack well for his attempts to communicate about the progress. Heck, maybe he'd have been better off not talking at all??

Trouble is, there are often snags in such negotiations that require falling back to regroup. And premature announcements set expectations that don't react well to such adjustments. Do they?

And there is this question about where you get money for acquisitions. This isn't exactly a prime choice for conventional bank investment. It's pretty evident it would take either a compelling sales pitch, or a compelling profit motive to attract investment money. Jack and company's choice might not be ideal, but given the risk involved, where would you go? (no fair, Matt. We don't all have the resources you have alluded to. And its evident they didn't either).

Finally, how come everyone ignores the posts that mention the real cost of legal action (based on historical precedent), and who "wins", except for those who respond, "I don't care, I just want to whup somebody"?

Well, don't get me wrong. I'm not a happy stockholder either. And the contradictions in PR and actions bother me. But I think much of what is going on at the moment here is not a measured response, and is mostly counterproductive. There are more temperate alternatives to this style of dialog

Worst part is, some of the "threats" have outcomes that rate between "zero" and "self-destructive" IMHO.

I'm not telling anyone not to do what they think is right. But I wondered if I was the only one with these concerns. JimA
