SGI is not mainstream, when an organisation gets an SGI machine it will be segregated for more specialized purpose. If your main goal at work is to get the office computerized, with a finite budget, then buying SGI's for everyone would surely get you fired. Buying an SGI for an inventory lookup that is used twice/hour would also fit in that category. SGI is not a full spectrum supplier. "." So you really should have a well defined compute-intensive task before the extra power takes an advantage over the lower-cost hardware. Greg
