And you OUGHT to be grumpy. I'm getting 31.2 with my chip-x2 upgraded 33.6 Sportster Faxmodem out here in the boonies. Apparently my boonies is more urban than your boonies. What did the 3COM line test report for you? Really no satisfaction from 3COM tech support? Have you downloaded the "Modem Update Wizard" recently on the chance they have updated it? Getting a blazing connection speed of 21.6 with my x2 56K USR Sportster Voice. Not really a Zooming speed. Yes I'm grumpy about it! o~~~ O
