Rainier, thanks for posting the links--I will check them out

M Gonzo and I used to chat on this thread about index trading. Candlestick charting has intrigued me for a while but I guess that I have been too lazy to really put the effort into studying it in detail. I have tended to rely on a couple of people who I respect -- like Don Sew, who seems to have mastered this.

Re day trading the futures, I am trying to figure out whether it is something that I want to do. My previous foray into day trading was not successful -- but I have from time to time wanted to try it out again. Having Patrick around, to guide one in this regard is helpful given that he knows what he is doing--and is experienced at day-trading. Whether I will continue to do so is a function of whether it is profitable and enjoyable -- it certainly takes a lot more effort and concentration though this may be because I am finding my feet.
