Five diamond drill rigs are being mobilized to the Sinchao property to
speed up the current drilling program which has fallen behind schedule.
The program has been operating with one reverse circulation rig where
sample recovery (1,174m completed in two weeks) has averaged 40 to 50 per
cent. The second rig has been delayed. The company has decided pre-collar
with reverse circulation drilling is not an appropriate method nor is it
providing satisfactory performance both in terms of metres drilled and
sample recovery. Logging of the recovered samples has indicated all samples
are extensively mineralized with visible copper mineralization. Copper
mineralization appears to increase with depth which is encouraging as all
holes have been drilled at the top of the western flank hill.
Eight diamond holes, each targeted to depth will begin in the Sinchao
Valley 200m vertically below the previous drill sites. The drill holes will
cover a volume 1,000m x 500m x 1,000m targeting the magnetite-rich porphyry
zone. The first five diamond holes will begin in the ensuing week.
The company has repaid the advances from Gala Resources Ltd.
