Here's a question for anyone who has knowledge in this area. I just called my broker, who I've been with for years and trust. She told me that all transactions could and would be handled inhouse and there is no need to call for certificates.
Considering the loss of flexiibility involved in having the stocks in certificate form, what is the downside of not sending for them, especially if you have built up a trust with your broker?
I'm certainly interested in any input but have not sent for them yet.
Please excuse my lack of experience in this area as I've never had this situation come up.
Thanks, Randy
