More thoughts on short-selling and posting on the internet.
Apparantly, SRCM made some comments about people posting on the internet during the conference call. I don't know if they were responding to my comments or even if they were referring to anybody on SI.
But regardless, I want to say to the company, its employees and its investors, that all my posts purely reflect my opinion and my personal analysis. I am receiving no confidential information from Source Media or any other company or analyst. I post my opinions on this forum to stimulate the free exchange of ideas. I do not think that the limited audience of this forum could influence the stock price. I value all the opinions of other investors and am open to changing my views if presented with additional information or suitably persuasive arguments.
I also have no personal resentment toward the company or any of its shareholders or employees, even though I may not trust some of them. There are many other fine people at Source Media who are working hard to build a successful company. Also, while I may disagree with other investors on the long term viability of this company, I always respect their opinions and wish them no financial loss. I am just another participant in the financial market that helps it to be an efficient pricing mechanism.
I may disagree with SRCM's employees and shareholders about its prospects, but I am not the enemy. Long-term, the company's financial results will speak for themselves, and the short-term sway of opinion will mean nothing. I hope we can all keep that in mind and refrain from any unnecessary tension between the company and its investors, whether they be long or short.
