I got disenchanted with ASND with the insider sales in the face of such good news. So I still hold ASND, my September '97 buy at $42 7/16 - which I will have for at least the required 18 months for LT capital gains treatment. I now also hold JBL @ $38, bought last week, now $43 13/16, and RDRT @ $11 15/16 (ouch, maybe) and $10 1/2 (Good for now), bought Friday and Monday, which closed up 3.0% today @ $10 11/16. My IRA moved into SEEKing better opportunities, too. There sure was a lot of buy on close orders for NOVL, too.

So I agree with you that this is a good time to accumulate good companies.

Let me assure you I still love ASND. But the message that they give the street when they sell their own stock is one that causes strong distrust. The product future is great. I get PM and e-mail (I used my e-mail name to post on Yahoo) from people telling me that there are good orders to come, or that have been received but the company can't talk about. Maybe today's announcement of a PR firm will help get good news out. So far it has been like pulling teeth to find out about customer wins. CSCO can tell you what they have won, and are not afraid to announce. ASND does not do that.

That distrust will create buying opportunities. I will buy with the trading part of my portfolio when ASND presents opportunities, depending on how and where the other plays are doing. Elsewise, I will be using my trading funds for other opportunities and remain with my long term ASND holdings for the long haul. It really only represents a prudent investing strategy. Until recently the reason I followed ASND so strongly was it was the only thing that was significant in my investments. Today it still is in the top 3.

Frankly, what I miss most on the other boards is the lack of information like we share here. This is really the best group on the internet. Very sharing and a great breath of strengths.

Hoping ASND starts rocking, after it presents another SNI type buy-in opportunity.

IMHO, Dennis
