RE: Max-Pain... It all comes down to what happens on Friday.

And you do realize that if you held the May'98 10 Calls and today was Friday at 5PM... you would get a call from your broker to deliver the cash to cover the purchase of the stocks @$10/share+commission because the options would have been automatically exercised since they have a value of >= $.50? And you would have until Monday morning to have the cash in your account, since this was an options transaction and it is 'settle the next trading day' rules.
