It is strange that we haven't heard anything about the ad. Maybe it won't air today after all.

The 500k G3s number pretty much says what we already know.

133k G3 in Q1 98
350k G3 in Q2 98

So we had 483k G3s in Q1+Q2. I certainly don't think Jobs was saying that only an additional 17k G3s were shipped since end of Q2.
