I have an idea, Don. You could wait until someone sells a board lot at the bid, then you could sell short a nickel higher than that trade. For example, after 100 shares trade at $6.80 then put your short sale in "at market". That way your broker will offer your short sale at $6.85. (or maybe $6.81, depending on the trader)

Just an idea, NOT a recommendation.
