SHARE COUNT: BAD IDEA

Lucus:

I have held my tongue, but now I will express my opinion. A share count is a very bad idea for several reasons. First, as we have witnessed on the AOL board, a shorter came along, tallied up the shares and realized that a sizeable portion of the float resided on this Internet board. Therefore, he gained an upper hand on the board. This scenerio was played out this weekend as he was able to scare many small investors into selling their shares of TLTK at the wrong time. Second, I truly believe that how many shares a person owns is a very private matter. Since cyberspace is a new entity I would not want my portfolio info available for unscrupulous people. Third, I would hope that people do not equate the number of shares a person owns with his investor saavy. I would hate to see a situation where people start to believe a piece of advice given by a particular individual because he/she owns many shares rather than the informational content of the post. We are all swayed and impressed to some extent by the guy/gal who posts that he/she own 50,000 share of brand X. I think that is unfair to others who many not be big investors, but have major points to contribute. Finally, I do not enjoy people stating "I only own 10 shares of this company, but....." Nobody should feel humble or diminished because of their financial prowess. I will not comment on this matter again on this board. I do not mean this post in any negative way and will not quarrel with you if you continue to do a share count. Please consider my thoughts.

Thank you
