Yes, Binder, it was a thought that occurred to me too. Absolutely logical, except it didn't work, if that was the intent. Now, you know the process of getting hit in the belly and so next time you protect your belly, and then you get hit in the jaw, so now you protect your belly and your jaw, etc. etc. until you get pretty darn clever at figuring out every angle. So....I expect this may come at us in a different form, frequently, from now on. Makes life interesting.
..and this brings up a story (oh here we go...lol)
The city of Constantinople is actually on a separate piece of land segregated from what is now Turkey by the massive Bosphorous River which encircles the city on 3 sides, the top side, the top side being known as The Golden Horn. The Golden Horn had a giant chain across it at its mouth where it dumped into the Bosphorous which did not allow boats into the vulnerable side of the city. Constantinople, then not part of Turkey, had built not only one wall, but two walls around itself for protection. But they didnt figure on what the Turks had in store.
Way to the North the Turks barged across the Bosphorous with jillions of workers, a team of elephants, thousands of planks, shovels and a V-bottomed boat in tow. They then dug a channel across the land all the way down to the top tip of the Golden Horn on the back side of the city. They lined this trench with planks, heavily greased the planks, attached the team of elephants to the V-bottomed boat and had them pull the boat across land, dumping it into the topside of the Golden Horn inside the protective chain. In the wee hours of the morning, the Turks crossed the Golden Horn inlet, climbed onto land and over the walls of Constantinople capturing the sleeping city in a few hours. It is now part of Turkey, Istanbul.
