Been long Novl for a while. I am a systems integrator and Novell Platinum partner. I just got back from Provo for a 2 day session on IntraNetware for SAA. Sorry if someone talked about this already, but I didnt have time to look through all of threads. Like you, my DD can only come from SI 1/2 the time. IntraNetware for SAA is a product that allows Workstations to communicate with IBM Mainframes(OS/390) and AS400(OS/400). One comment: THIS PRODUCT KICKS MSFT SNA SERVERS ASS!!! I have worked with both products, not to mention ZIP!SNA from Attachmate(YUK). This new version of IWSAA(Intranetware for SAA) supports many things that SNA Server does not. The funny thing is that MSFT claims their SNA Server supports 30,000 concurrent users! What a marketing joke. No one (IBM included) has ever tested this. This is a theoretical Max. They would be lucky with 1000. On the other hand IWSAA can truly say they support 5000. Ask IBM. I just hope the Novell Marketing Team can get their head out of their ass for this one. (no offense) Also, I have heard that the current version of SNA Server will be the last. no major enhancements planned, just patches!!! GO Eric (JAVA) Schmidt. GO NOVL
