IAS Communications, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IASCA - news) wishes to announce the following new appointments to our newly created CTHA development team:
Larry Hawks -- Has been appointed VP in charge of R&D and the Chief Engineer for the CTHA project. Mr. Hawks has extensive experience in ELF, VLF & RF technology. Mr. Hawks has worked for the Hebrew University in Israel (responsible for radiation studies). He was previously Engineering Manager in charge of all divisional engineering operations for producing the design of the IBM PC Junior for AMP Corp. Mr. Hawks is currently the Chief Engineer for ACM (a division of Eikenberry Associates in Kokomo, Indiana, an injection moulding company).
Circuit Systems, Inc. -- Has agreed to be our consulting firm to act as our manufacturing advisor for the CTHA. Circuit Systems, Inc. is a leader in the printed circuit board industry and is ISO 9002 certified, an internationally accepted quality system. Circuit Systems has produced several CTHA prototypes for IAS and TEAM, Inc. (our joint research company).
Barclay Hambrook -- P. Eng. MBA has been appointed Vice President of Business Development for IAS. Mr. Hambrook has acted as advisor to IAS having completed the Company's initial business plan in 1996. He had been active in communications over the last five years and successfully negotiated the establishment of technology driven, joint venture companies in Asia, Europe and North America. Mr. Hambrook as a principal of Enercana Capital provides corporate finance services.
Steve Gulyas -- Has been appointed Vice President of Sales for the CTHA for commercial applications. Mr. Gulyas is an experienced salesperson with several important connections in the telecommunications industry. He has introduced the CTHA to several major potential end users.
Progress Report From WVU - CIRA Team
IAS Communications, Inc. has received a progress report from the West Virginia University CIRA division. The CIRA team consists of Dr. James Smith, the team leader for R&D for the CTHA technology and a highly effective team of engineers and technical staff experienced in the CTHA.
The Progress Report is as follows:
1. Completed the design and development of an anechoic chamber specifically designed to handle a large majority of IAS CTHA customer applications.
2. Completed the development of a test procedure that will be implemented for both the indoor anechoic chamber and the outdoor range, the results of which should be acceptable to the professionals in the antenna industry. 3. Developed numerous new intellectual property disclosures for the CTHA and helped with the prosecution of existing patent applications.
4. Quantified and documented CTHA traits such as impedance invariance to enhance technical literature.
5. Developed in-house capabilities that will soon double the capabilities to support customers that exist through TEAM.
The CTHA is a patented, compact, low profile, donut-shaped antenna, flush mounted on an application at a fraction of the height of the monopole antennas used today. IAS Communications, Inc. owns the world wide commercial rights to the CTHA excluding only the Military/Government rights.
