The deal is similar to the Who?Vision agreement in that they are purchasing units of NRI's products and then reselling them. That means of course that they have to actually sell them, before they're going to order any more. It appears as if they have contractually committed to cash payments equalling $2.9 Mil during 1998 and in return will probably receive twice the number of seats sold to Who?Vision. Since much of the $1.5 Mil backorder from last year was part of the Mayo Clinic installation, it is likely that XL Vision will supply those seats. That means that a good portion of those $2.9 Mil worth of seats may already be sold. Needless to say this alleviates NRID's cash position and puts them in a great place to continue through 1998. If you add up the W?V and XLV orders and then throw in a $1 Mil of other sales, NRID runs only a small deficit in 1998. Another deal like this and we could be in the black! SHOW ME THE MONEY!
