MICAP, I hope the posts were actually mine and also of use. I have to admit I do not recall being overly active on the Band-Ore thread. I certainly have had an interest in that area, I used to follow Holmer very closely (still check up on them periodically) and did look into Band-Ore themselves as well, so it is no doubt a possibility, but sometimes my memory sucks, so??
From what I have seen thus far, Steppe certainly appears to warrant putting an effort into finding out about, but I have not had the time to put in the same degree of follow-up as I have with my core holdings. This company interests me, as does John Menzies himself, he and I have communicated with each other over the general state of the world gold market and share some common views, on that front.
The properties in question certainly appear to have merit, Steppe has managed to continue to make progress, without having any fallingouts with the Kaz government, they have managed to put together a potential financial package that would change the world's view of them very quickly, IF they get it. My point here is not skepticism, just simply that it is not done yet and any business dealings, especially in this part of the world, can come apart very quickly. I am still developing my understanding of that region and the poilitics involved.
I hope to be able to be a useful addition to this thread, over time.
