Alpha Diamond Corp. holds the exclusive rights to mine concessions covering 218 acres in Ghana, Africa, in the Akim Oda District, located about 90 miles north of Ghana's capital. The company has also contracted to acquire established alluvial gold and diamond concessions in Guinea and Ghana.
This Ontario, Canada-based minerals exploration firm has been busy establishing a beachhead in Africa, obtaining rights to concessions in Ghana and contracting for additional concessions on the continent. Alpha Diamond Corp., which was in the development stage as of September 12, 1997, holds the exclusive rights to mine concessions covering 218 acres in Ghana, Africa, in the Akim Oda District, located some 90 miles north of Accra, Ghana's capital. These rights were assigned to the company in early September 1997.
In November 1997, Alpha announced that it had contracted to acquire established alluvial gold and diamond concessions in Guinea and Ghana. Each concession encompasses about five miles of river frontage in well-established gold- and gem-producing areas. Alpha was in negotiations to acquire additional concessions in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Ghana and The Central African Republic.
