Wade,

<Well, no one was talking that way, including you, in your post
Message 2457832,
where you summarize the enthusiastic projections of CD ROM revenues from this thread. Look at the huge numbers and optimism there. It was hardly possible for all of the CD usage at that level to turn into I&A contracts, much less remediation contracts. Let's not pretend, C.K.

To bring up an October '97 post as MINE ... where I "cut & pasted" discussions from a group of people, with NO editorial on my part ... is ridiculous. Way back in the Fall I used to cut & past ALL discussions - pro & con. Ran out out time and stopped doing all that cut & pasting. In that link you posted ... I specifically ONLY mentioned change in product mix and profit margins. Never predicted CD revenue.

After Jan 29 stockholders meeting or 2nd quarter earnings (can't remember which)... we all knew Wonderware rollout was being delayed ... because of problem at Wonderware's end. There was a LOT of discussion about that. Estimates were revised. I even changed Wonderware roll-out date on the Research Site.

Don't know how you missed it. It was discussed on several occasions over a couple of months, since that time, as people made revised projections or discussed CD sales.

You've been participating on this thread off and on since that time. I've very surprised that you've been operating on an out-of-date premise. Sorry if that's been the case. No one hid or misrepresented anything. Maybe you were out of town when the big discussions and revised estimates were going on.

That's one problem with an overly active thread. It's easy to miss key info when there's so many posts. That's why I try to update and post key info on research site ... so it doesn't get lost & is easy to find.

Cheryl
