jawd-

I've done the Datek server dance, it gets tiring. And have you ever tried to call them when things are down? Ha! But they do serve a niche, and I'm glad that all the Datek traders are not over with MB. Then we would see the slowdowns that they do! I'm being selfish, but it is also because MB is not for everybody. You need to trade enough to pay for the data feed, and learning the software is not something to take lightly. I was on overload for a week at least, trying to figure out how to configure the RealTick software to my liking. Having the variety of execution systems that MB offers means that you need to understand how to use them, or you could get into trouble quick. So it needs to be an informed decision, and you should know how to trade before stepping up to the high power big boys. You should also have a good working knowledge of how your computer system works, and also how your network connection works. Trading on-line is not just trading stocks. To be successful, I think you need to have the ability to diagnose and fix connection and software problems, or you will be out of business before you know it.
