(OFF TOPIC) Capital flows

Watching that 30 year Treasury Bond today reminded me of the money flows out of Asia last year into shorter term US Treasuries -- has the flight to quality started again?!

We have a real horse race going. Heng Seng is down another 2% and well below 10,000. They have to up interest rates to defend the currency. Not again! The Yen is pushing 134 and the Nikkei is at 15000. The rioting in Indonesia has spread from the universities to Jakarta. So that's one side of the scale.

On the other side of the scale is MSFT getting an extremely favorable Appeals Court ruling today on Win98 and The Texas Att. General having second thoughts about trying to stop Win98 because CPQ, DELL, COMPUSA, and COMPUTER CITY all call Texas home, and then the Greenspan fizzle or is it mumble scheduled for next week.

So do we get another and final blow out rally? (You know the kind where the market goes up and up and up and nobody can stop the momentum.
