Of the several open orders I had today at the close, only one didn't auto-cancel. It was the only one for a listed stock. The other ones were for Nasdaq securities.

I tried cancelling the order still open (which was a full point away from the closing price, so I wasn't that worried) and I got the dreaded 'Trying to cancel'. I checked recently and, like in your case, the trade was cancelled.

This never had happened to me before, but most of my trades are on Nasdaq.
