'Holier than thou' attitude of the world towards India.

Ratan:

quite right but I don't think India wants to export any nuclear weapons she just wants to defend herself.Sanctions or no sanctions India will survive. Also another point to remember is that not having too much foreign investments in the country will come handy to withstand these sanctions.I am not saying India has to close her borders again for investments but it is just that it will come handy under these circumstances.

I think most the sanctions will be in the financial area, cutting of loan facilities from the World Bank,IMF and the like, and probably financial aid, restrictions to access to dual purpose technology etc. I think the impact will be felt but India will get over it besides I think this initial reaction will sort of subside after a while.

More importantly those who condemn India have no moral, legal or any other grounds to justify their stand in any shape or form.

PS:I forgot to mention something else-Foreign investment in India has been less than 5 billion dollars in the last 5 years. Consider this puny amount with the foreign investment in China to the tune of 45 billion dollars per year, even the S.E.Asian 'alley cats' {aka Tigers}have hundreds of billions of dollars of foreign investments so trying to squeeze India in this area won't work much either, cos there is hardly any foreign business to start with.
