Another good man trashed by the indescriminate truth bashers: Former Daily News reporter Thomas Galvin, writing in an upcoming issue of National Review, about fired House staffer David Bossie: The Democrats who regularly castigated him as a low-life never bothered to mention that when they went home to their cozy beds at night, Bossie went "home" to the Burtonsville Firehouse in suburban Maryland, where he served as a volunteer fire fighter. . . . He does about four hundred calls a year. He has seen plenty of death along the way, and in 1991 he permanently injured an ankle while fighting a house fire. Clinton offers lip service to volunteerism, but there aren't many White House or Hill staffers who devote forty to fifty hours a week to community service.
