Oh, another internet protocol MS is trying to corrupt: PPP. They've created their non-standard, DHCP reliant version of PPP and put it in Win 95, forcing thousands of ISPs to work up a work around, or go out and buy NT to run DHCP servers. Luckily the standards bodies gave them a really good thrashing for that.

I don't agree, but I am wondering - what are the major innovations of the past 2 decades?

Personally I feel that Microsoft's biggest innovation has been integration - of applications (Office), OS features, etc.
