The fact the the Japanese Cos. are way ahead underscores my ket point:
TRMB is not achieving any kind of industry leadership.

It is the car nav market that will build the volume needed to achieve one-chip technological solutions for the core reveiver. With those solutions in some other manufacturer's hands, TRMB cannot maintain market share at the core hareware level.
