I'm a bit schizophrenic re TAVA; I hold some for long term (It won't ever take off w/o me!) as well as trade some.

---

Actually, that's how I approach all of my stocks. That way I
can make a little short term money off of my longs without
compromising my core position if a run-up does occur. Sorta like
having your cake and eating it too.

One thing a trader has to learn to overcome is greed. I've spent
years convincing myself to take profit in the middle of the rosiest
of situations and similarly, to hold tight in the darkest of hours.
For instance, I sold some TAVA yesterday at 14 even though the long
in me told me to hold out for 14 3/4, and as today shows, it paid off. I only erred by deciding to buy back in at 12 3/4, thinking
that we were at the bottom. However, I have a core position of 2500
shares that I refuse to touch, regardless of the circumstances.
