Compaq had an inventory problem. That's all. Compaq covers the whole spectrum of computers from low end to high end. The will continue to do well at the expense of say a Packard Bell.
K-6 chips and Cyrix chips offer great value. I wouldn't worry about Compaq not being "100% Intel". The stock is working its way toward 40.
