Was flipping through one of the endless number of trade catalogs I get every other day at work.. (this one is called "Publishing Perfection", Publishing, Graphics & Digital Video Computer Products) I don't know how I get on all of these mailing lists... but aaaaaaaaaaanyway, the first 6 pages are devoted to digital cameras, and right in the middle of page 4 is the QV-5000SX unit from Casio (which has the DCAM chip). They've got it listed for $600 USD, so looks like it is starting to trickle into the stateside market as well. There also are a couple of Minolta offerings, but I couldn't tell if any of them use the DCAM chip too.

The $600 price for the Casio is around lower-mid range (high of $5600, low of $400) of the ones in the catalog, but has alot more capability in terms of resolution and picture speed.

Just thought the thread might like to know.
