The tricky part of it is that wealth as well as income has a relative component to it: 100 US$ probably buys you a lifetime supply of fruit in Mocambique or Kenya but only 2 oranges in a Tokyo foodstore... How is more wealthy? The guy in Africa or the Japanese shopper????

As far as resources/information/statistics are concerned I do not know any particular ones off my head. I guess Wealth is a much more difficult beast to nail down than Income. So much Wealth is hidden, not the least in my country...
