WASHINGTON, May 13 (Reuters) - Nineteen states and Washington, D.C., will file an antitrust case against Microsoft Corp.(MSFT - news) Thursday, a source close to the case said on Wednesday.

"The filing is tomorrow in Washington," the source said.

The source identified the states as California, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Mexico, South Carolina, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin.

Texas may join the case within a few weeks, the source said.
