In the particular case I am referring to the deposits are near the surface, and access from the surface is by existing horizontal adits (some are declines). The ore bodies themselves are accessed by short declines leading to the deeper parts where there are higher grades. The sub-level retreat method has been mentioned as a possible mining method because it is cheaper. I am including the cost of the declines that have to be put in place in my estimates of capital required. I believe these declines need to be there in order for the reserves to qualify as mineable. If you need me to be more specific I will try, but this is my first stab at this, so I'm looking for some help.

Sincerely,

Al Cern
