Ann, so you have faith that there is a God*, but you don't believe that He has communicated with His highest creation, mankind. Ann have you ever "really" studied the Bible? God is love, however He is also Holy (set apart), and anyone who wishes to know Him must also be holy. So what must we be set apart from? Sin. Ann, God wishes no one to perish, but to have eternal life with Him. All one must simply do is believe that He sent His Son Jesus to us to show us the way. Ann, will you believe that Jesus is God's Son and that He came to show all mankind how to live?
Ann, here is my offer to you and any others who might read this post. I will conduct an online Bible study with you, to see if the claims of myself or the many who believe in Jesus on this thread, are true. How about it Ann, are you up to it?
