Judi, James, Lurkers, Fellow DRIPsters-- I've read much of Carlson's material and find no serious flaws. It IS useful. For my money cheapskate that I am) though, I found Vita Nelson's 'Money Paper's Guide to Dividend Reinvestment Plans' to be of the greatest help. Yeah, the one that's advertisements run fairly often on CNBC. Their guide is organized in a way that helped me seperate the quality companies with good DRIPS from quality companies with poor DRIPS. As an example of the second group, I'd suggest avoiding Merck as a DRIP-- their charges cost the DRIPster more than the DRIP benefit (small number of shares). Anyway, I still contend that the money I spent on their guide is the best market investment I've made. Paul
